Sydney Sweeney has revealed the secrets behind her intense acting process, which she describes as "kind of psychotic." The 27-year-old actress made the comments during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she discussed her latest project, Echo Valley, premiering on June 13 on Apple TV+.
Sweeney explained that she doesn't prepare for scenes by going to her trailer and coming out in character, instead, she "jump in and out" and becomes a different person. "I'm really vicious," she joked, referencing her character Claire in the movie.
The actress also expressed her admiration for her co-star Julianne Moore, who plays her mother" in the film. Sweeney said she felt "bad" for Moore due to the intense scenes they shared. "She's so kind and fun, and just amazing to work with," Sweeney gushed.
In Echo Valley, Sweeney stars alongside Domhnall Gleeson, Kyle McLachlan, Fiona Shaw, Edmund Donovan, and Albert Jones. The movie follows the story of a mother (Julianne Moore) who struggles to make peace with her troubled daughter (Sweeney). The situation takes a dark turn when the daughter shows up on her mother's doorstep, covered in someone else's blood.
Domhnall Gleeson also stars in the movie, which is directed by BAFTA winner Michael Pearce and written by Emmy nominee Brad Ingelsby (Mare of Easttown).
