Jodie Sweetin, star of the beloved sitcom Full House, revealed that her kids weren't exactly thrilled about her work on the show. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Sweetin shared that her daughters, Beatrix, 14, and Zoie, 17, weren't interested in watching their mom's acting roots, simply calling it "weird."

Andrea Barber, Sweetin's co-star and friend, shared a similar experience with her kids, Felicity, 16, and Tate, 19, saying they didn't really care about their mom's acting career. "They're just normal teenagers. They don't care what their parents do," Barber said.

Sweetin's kids with her daughters were never eager to watch Full House, and when they did, it was because it was on Nick at Nite, and even then, they weren't interested. "I'm sure my mom or dad, when the kids were little, was like, 'Oh, you want to watch mom on the show?' And even at two, they were probably like, 'No,'" Sweetin recalled.

The Kids' Reaction to Fuller House

However, when it came to Fuller House, Barber said her kids "loved coming to the live tapings on Friday nights." The costars' kids had a chance to connect, with Barber noting how close in age Felicity and Zoie are. "Oh my god, they loved hanging out," Sweetin agreed. "They just wanted to hang out with Michael and Soni and Elias. They didn't come to see what we did."

Sweetin shared a funny moment during the live show, saying, "They were hardly ever in the audience. They were down in the schoolroom. Remember the time we were doing the scene, and I literally heard Zoie yelling in the school room in the back? And I was like, 'That's my kid,' on a tape night," she laughed.

During the live event, which also featured an appearance from co-stars John Stamos and Lori Loughlin, the group opened up about whether they had any regrets with the original series, during which they referenced the end of the series. "I wish we had gotten a proper goodbye," Barber shared.

Stamos agreed, adding, "We didn't know... I think we found out somewhere during that week or something. They kind of said, 'Okay, well...' and that wasn't a good way to go out. But thank God we got to do Fuller House."
