Megan Moroney, the 27-year-old CMA Award-winning singer-songwriter, has brought her signature sparkle to Nashville's bar scene with the unveiling of The Emo Cowgirl, a multi-level takeover of the L27 rooftop bar at The Westin Hotel.
During the VIP opening, Moroney performed a medley of her hits like "Bless Your Heart," "Man on the Moon," and "Am I Okay?" while sharing the inspiration behind the bar. She revealed that the bar was inspired by a fateful night she spent in the venue, which also led to one of her hit tracks, "Break It Right Back."
According to Moroney, the space stuck with her, even after a night of too many drinks, which she humorously recalled: "I was really drunk when I got up on the elevator... I didn't eat lunch that day." The story behind the bar's inspiration has become a funny anecdote that Moroney enjoys sharing with her fans.
The Emo Cowgirl's menu is a reflection of Moroney's style, with drinks like the "Spicy Meg" and "Wonder," as well as savory flatbread pizzas, a "Girl Dinner" plate, and a buttermilk bourbon fried chicken sandwich. To top it off, the bar offers sweet tea lemon icing and powdered sugar-topped beignets.
Fans in attendance were treated to Moroney-inspired memorabilia, including free sashes and the option to purchase the singer's signature merchandise, featuring exclusive shirts, hoodies, hats, and limited-edition boots from her collaboration with Lane Boots.
The Emo Cowgirl will be open to the public at The Westin Hotel through August 31. For pop-up hours or to book a table, fans can head to theemocowgirl.com.
