Reality TV star Julie Chrisley revealed a shocking incident during her time in prison, claiming she was "locked" in the cafeteria by a correctional officer.
On the July 1 episode of her daughter Savannah's podcast "Unlocked", Julie shared the unsettling experience, which Savannah alleged was intentional. "I will never forget at the very beginning, you called me, and you were all to pieces because that one a------ C.O. [correctional officer]," Savannah recalled.
Julie added, "He was just a miserable human being, he really was." Her husband Todd Chrisley, who was also imprisoned, chimed in, saying, "They all are."
The incident allegedly occurred at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky, where Julie was incarcerated for over two years for fraud and tax evasion. Todd was imprisoned at Florida's Federal Prison Camp Pensacola.
Savannah claimed that the correctional officer targeted her mother, saying, "He did it because he was pissed off at her — he did it on purpose." Julie described the officer as a "food service worker" who has since retired.
The Chrisley family has been vocal about their experiences in prison, with Todd saying, "I was surrounded by miserable human beings... And every day, I got up and it was my sole intent to make their life even more miserable because they were there to make our lives miserable."
Julie and Todd were released from prison in May after receiving full pardons from President Donald Trump. They have maintained their innocence throughout the process.
